Governors Island Beach Club was transformed on June 27, 2014 into the French Quarter of New Orleans through live jazz music and crawfish at the first-ever NolaFunk Crawfish & Music Fest, where New Orleans was brought to New York. Hundreds showed up to dig their hands in crawfish. The main attraction was the live music of the Rebirth Brass Band, as they closed out the evening with funk and blues, bringing attendees closer to the spirit of Bourbon Street.
