'The Act of Killing' is a very good documentary.  However there's one huge drawback to the movie that sullies it as a true worthwhile film - it completely fails to mention the primary role the U.S. National Security State played in funding, arming and training the vicious gangsters and military fascists who tortured and killed 100s of thousands of activists, intellectuals, socialists and regular citizens of Indonesia.  Without the unbridled support of Washington the right-wing thugs in Indonesia never could've pulled off the genocide against the committed Indonesian reformist activists. topcommenter

@DrewHunkins There are omissions to all content.  The documentary stayed focused on its theme.
