Action filmmaker Louis Leterrier's output is all over the map, from the fitfully delightful Transporter 2 and superior Jet Li vehicle Unleashed to that irredeemable Clash of the Titans remake. His latest sounds pretty dopey—the FBI tries to stop a group of bank-robbing magicians—but Leterrier is sure to deliver at least one killer set piece, and who could argue with a cast boasting Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Caine? At the very least, those four are getting pools out of this.

From superheroes (Superman, Wolverine) to Shakespeare (Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing), another season of summer movies is upon us. Here's our guide to movies this summer -- and their wide-release dates. Check the schedule at your neighborhood cineplex before you leave your apartment. Blurbs by Simon Abrams.

My Voice Nation Help

God, I hated 'Computer Chess' at Sundance.  By far the worst movie I've seen in ages, I had comp tickets and I'm still pissed I wasted the time to see the film.  I so envied the people sitting near the aisles who were easily able to walk out part way through the movie, they were the lucky ones.  If a time machine is ever built someone should go back in time and keep the filmmakers' mothers from ever having sex.
