Some people reading this might not exist were it not for the smooth soul music of Al Green; such is the romantic power of the good Reverend's yowls in songs like "Love and Happiness" and the immortal "Let's Stay Together." Green's last album, the ?uestlove-produced 2008 outing Lay It Down, returned him to the Billboard Top 10, but even without a new hit, there's plenty of evidence that he's still got it. See, for instance, the gloriously bizarre yet perfectly performed version of "Let's Stay Together" he did a few years back with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.
