ALL THE WORLD'S A DANCE
Washington, D.C.'s biggest gang isn't the tobacco lobbyists—it's Thievery Corporation, the giddy bossa nova/dub/Indian dance/jazz collective of an enormous revolving roster and equally far-flung grooves. Anchored in DJ duo Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, the group is most widely known for their markedly un-twee Garden State soundtrack contribution, the sitar-heavy dance popper "Lebanese Blonde," and its tragic narrative; the track's original singer, Pam Bricker, committed suicide four years ago.
