The new 12,000-square-foot branch of Deitch Studios in Long Island City has been transformed into a Ã¢â¬Ådemolition discoÃ¢â¬ï¿½ of installations by the art collective Assume Vivid Astro Focus. The resulting riot of plywood, wallpaper, paint, and neon lights is called Absolutely Venomous Accurately Fallacious (Naturally Delicious), and we hear the opening-night party was really bent. All this is in addition to music and video projections, an interactive zone, and some seriously strange language created especially for the exhibitÃ¢â¬”sure, thereÃ¢â¬â¢s a bit of a mind-fuck element to the experience, but we figured youÃ¢â¬â¢d like it that way.
