Dir. Victor Heerman (1930).
Filmed in a New York studio, the Marx Brothers second feature suffers from staginess (albeit more fluidly transposed than The Cocoanuts). This is the movie in which Groucho rhymes schnorrer with African explorer and Harpo exposes Abie the Fish man. The vivacious Lillian Roth is also on hand as the most simpatico ingénue to ever grace a Marx Brothers film.
