Now in its 16th year, the African Diaspora Film Festival returns with parties, panel discussions, and more than 80 filmsan eclectic mix of comedies, romances, dramas, and documentaries on the global black experiencescreening in six different venues. On December 5, catch Gospel Hill (at Anthology Film Archives at 8 p.m.), which is making its New York premiere at the festival. Starring Danny Glover, Angela Bassett, and Julia Stiles, it tells the story of a former sheriff and a former civil rights activist who investigate the assassination of a civil rights activist. On December 6, see the festivals centerpiece, the New York premiere of The Black List (at the Cowin Center at 8 p.m.)a collection of interviews conducted by the journalist Elvis Mitchell with prominent black athletes, authors, musicians, politicians, and actorsfollowed by a panel discussion.
