You're in store for much more than a movie at tonight's edition of Moviehouse, 3rd Ward's monthly series of obscure works from emerging and veteran filmmakers: This weekend in Bushwick, the art festival SITE Fest 09 will be taking place at various locations such as Chez Bushwick, the Bushwick Starr, and Lumenhouse, as well as at numerous galleries, gardens, studios, and homes. So after you check out all the art and watch this week's Moviehouse films (including Rob Carter's 2008 Metropolis, a video-animated film that uses both real and fictional images and is about the ever-changing landscape of Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.)and basically experience sensory overloadyou'll be more than ready to unwind at 3rd Ward's SITE Fest after-party, which includes live performances and a music-video set by VJ Clay Franklin.
