Dir. Eric Rohmer (1998). Title notwithstanding, this late opus by the master of loquacious romantic intrigue is characterized by a sense of serene indolence. If the carefully planted plot is slow to ripen, its all the better to appreciate Rohmers mathematical construction and droll, analytical eye.
