BANG YOUR HEAD
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says he founded Gigantourhis three-year-old Ozzfest competitorto remedy what he perceives as the lack of a focus on musicianship on the touring-festival circuit. Makes the thing sound like a snooze, I knowbut this years lineup is anything but sleepy. As always, Megadeth headline; theyre supporting last years surprisingly solid United Abominations, which boasts riffs much more complicated than Mustaines politics. Swedens In Flames have a new one out called A Sense of Purpose that wouldnt turn off an AFI fan. Children of Bodom, from Finland, might possess a flair for the dramatic thats even deeper than that of H.I.M., their higher-profile countrymen. Also with Job for a Cowboy (Gigantours youngest act) and High on Fire.
