Before I Forget
(Jacques Nolot, 2007). Not to be missed. Why is it that nearly all the best recent gay-themed movies are French, while most American gay flicks these days turn out to be empty wastes of time? Nolot not only directs, but he also gives a standout performance in the leading role of a troubled middle-aged ex-rent boy facing his own inner demons to survive. His moving film is marked by caustic honesty and wit.
