It has been a busy month for Jonathan Pierce of the Drums, who just wrapped up a run in London as part of the all-star ensemble in an impossibly hip new Royal Ballet production scored by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow. (Pierce's castmates included Boy George and the Kills’ Alison Mosshart.) Now he and the rest of this Brooklyn indie crew are heading out on a month-long North American tour in support of last year's Portamento, an '80s-steeped set of synthed-up pop songs about searching for heaven and not knowing how to love. Catch ’em before Pierce starts work on a symphony (or whatever).
