BOARD TO DEATH
Over the years, polo, cricket, and tug-of-war have all been booted from the Olympic docket, while rugby and kite-surfing are on deck for Rio. But is there room to expand the playing field onto the table top? Brooklyn Brainery thinks so, and hosts the Board Game Olympics, where a gold medal may hinge on the name of the Brady Bunch’s dog. Amid the pageantry, teams compete in sped-up rounds of Trivial Pursuit, Scattergories, and Taboo, with competition culminating in a throwdown over a teetering tower of Jenga. Ah, the thrill of victory; the gravity of defeat!
