BOND'S BACK . . .
We can't seem to go more than a few issues without urging everyone to see Justin Bond's newest show—and with good reason. The prolific performer is back in town with another hedonistic cabaret driven by gender ambiguity and a decent amount of drink. The latest, Close to You at Christmas, Darling, is a holiday special honoring Bond's unlikely musical heroes, the Carpenters. The Tony nominee will sing selections from the wholesome duo's 1970 album along with some of his Christmas faves. Not naughty enough for you? Not to worry: The gayest and most glittery pro dance troupe in town, the Pixie Harlots, are Bond's backup.
Thu., Dec. 11, 8 p.m.; Dec. 12-13, 7:30 & 10 p.m., 2008
