There's a good reason so many writers move to Brooklynwith numerous Pulitzer Prize winners in the borough, all that good fortune just has to rub off on everyone else. This year's Brooklyn Book Festival hosts panel discussions with several of this year's local Pulitzer winners, including novelist Jennifer Egan and journalists Jesse Eisinger, Jake Bernstein, and Clifford J. Levy. Catch readings and panel discussions with more than 260 authors, including cartoonist Adrian Tomine, writer-filmmaker John Sayles, and our own film critic J. Hoberman, author of An Army of Phantoms. Although the main event is today, the festival is also holding numerous "Bookend" events around the city starting September 15 (a highlight being the Second Annual Brooklyn Indie Press Celebration at Greenlight Bookstore [686 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, 718-246-0200] with Akashic Books, Tin House, and A Public Space, among others, at 7:30 on September 16).
