'Celebrate Brooklyn Festival Presents the Books'
Though some of the novelties has worn off this transplanted NY/Massachusetts band, the charm is definitely still there--a duo including a cellist is so twee that English indie-pop bands still drool in awe over them. Their folk-meets-electronica sound hasn't changed much, except there are more vocals now via samples. That's not such a bad thing, when you consider that their sound was already pretty expansive beforehand. Also, they're smart enough to know that two seated guys don't make for compelling visuals in a rock context, so they provide their own appropriately minimal video accompaniment. With Junip and Doveman.
