Ceremony+Magrudergrind

On their last few albums, reformed hardcore knuckledraggers Ceremony have transformed into a taut, clever post-punk unit. Their latest, Zoo, is their catchiest to date: Were it not for minimal detritus lingering from their earlier releases, the record might be mistaken as one from a new band full of pop sensibility and adult anxiety. First-billed openers Magrudergrind represent what the band could have been if they went in the other direction, playing angry, metallic, adrenaline-pumping grindcore. With Citizens Arrest and Royal Headache.
