One of 2009s most blogged-about indie-rock acts, San Franciscos psych-fuzzy Girls headline Webster Hall on their way out west toward Coachella, where their Saturday-night slot alongside the likes of Hot Chip and MGMT may well boost the band to fame of the non-Internet variety. (Speaking of the Internet, props to whoevers been facilitating Girls search-engine optimization: Their albums called Album and Google still loves it!) Opening the show are L.A.s actual-female Dum Dum Girls, whose goth-fuzzy Sub Pop debut, I Will Be, hit stores earlier this week. Expect to see them warming up Surfer Bloods crowd at Coachella next year.
