Children of Hiroshima
A movie thats waited nearly 60 years for a US theatrical premiere, Kaneto Shindos Children of Hiroshima is a somber melodrama, neither sentimental nor stoical, about the aftereffects of atomic radiation, shot on the half-rebuilt site of the worlds first nuclear catastrophe. The shame felt by Hiroshimas survivors is experienced by the viewer.
