Do you like delicious cuisine? Live music? Face painting? If you answered yes to any of these questions, swing by PARKED!, MeanReds fourth annual food-truck festival. Held this year at the scenic South Street Seaport, PARKED! gives you the options of indulging in recession-friendly foodstuffs from crowd pleasers like Frites n Meats, Kelvin Natural Slush Co., and Red Hook Lobster Pound. There will also be a beer garden, a main stage with assorted bands and DJs, and a playground with face painting for the young (at heart). Though PARKED! garnered some serious flack last year when the festival rolled onto Governors Island and resulted in both long lines and little food, dont let that deter you from attending this time around; the Seaport offers mobility that Governors Island just doesnt have, while MeanRed is brainstorming with the various vendors on ways to assure theyre as speedy as possible. Did I mention there was face painting?
