With the latest iteration of his long-evolving Church of Betty project, the relentlessly curious and always-impressive singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Rael delves into his family's Sephardic lineage and discovers it contains multitudes. He now performs on the guitarra Portuguesa in addition to sitar, adding his soaring Hindustani-trained voice to those of Bulgarian singer Vlada Tomova, flamenco percussionist Nacho Arimany, and the eclectic dancer-musician Marlon Cherry.
