At the close of Cato, Joseph Addisons 1713 tragedy, a character announces: From hence, let fierce contending nations know/What dire effects from civil discord flow. Well, nations havent really heeded the warning and theater has largely ignored the play (though it did enjoy a vogue during the American Revolution). Now the Flea, under the direction of Jim Simpson, revives it, with Andre de Shields and Reg E. Cathey.
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 7 p.m. Starts: Oct. 10. Continues through Nov. 1, 2008
