You can't blame Eef Barzelay for returning to the bosom of his band after trying out a solo career. It probably wasn't just his unusual name that threw people off but also his dry, low-key sense of humortruth be told, it's showcased better in his old band. At their best, Clem Snide were a less exotic, more tuneful version of Camper Van Beethoven and, like CVB, they deserved a bigger audience.
