Maybe McHugh is calling this “Bein’ Green” because it opens so soon after St. Patrick’s day, but whatever the name, this show is bound to be clever. The singer is habitually smart about her material as well as consistently off-the-cuff funny, so expect songs by the likes of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart or Burt Bacharach and Hal David, tunes that celebrate the designated color in one way or another. Behind her will be pianist Tedd Firth, guitarist Sean Harkness, and bassist Steve Doyle. It doesn’t get much better than these in-demand guys.
