At his annual OVO Fest, you have to go to Drake (crossing into Canada) for hometown performances by the Toronto rapper, along with his r&b pal the Weeknd, and a handful of supporting artists (this year: 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky) and surprise guests (last year: Lil Wayne and Stevie Wonder). With his Club Paradise tour, however, Drake takes the show to you, hosting his own mini Summer Jam on Long Island’s Jones Beach. The supporting artists? Jay-Z protege J. Cole, shout-rapping party starter Waka Flocka Flame, shout-rapping party finisher Meek Mill, the aforementioned 2 Chainz, and local hero French Montana. Tickets get a little pricey, particularly if you’re coming out from the city, but as the motto goes, you only live once.
