Dallas Vietty's Musette Project
Brooklyn accordionist Dallas Vietty specializes in musette, the lilting, highly ornamented French waltz music that's making some small comeback long after its early 20th century heyday. His set is part of a program celebrating NYU ethnomusicologist Marion Jacobson's fascinating new book, Squeeze This! A Cultural History of the Accordion in America. Staten Island accordion guru Guy Klucevsek hosts.
