DANCE WITH HER
Last year, Katy B’s debut record, On a Mission, topped the U.K. Dance Chart, produced three top 10 singles, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize for album of the year—enough, perhaps, to move out of the long shadow cast by BRIT School classmate Adele. Still, despite the acclaim of fans overseas and plenty of critics in America, she has yet to cross over to this side of the pond, unable to chart or find consistent radio airplay. That won’t matter tonight at Drom, as those who know her music love it, and those who love her music rarely stop dancing to it.
