Youll get your chance today when Mexican choreographer Ofelia Loret de Mola brings her carnivalesque spectacle Available Space to the streets of downtown, inviting spectators to marchor danceright alongside her performance troupe, Danscores. Kicking off in City Hall Park, the piecejointly inspired by the game of chess and the cheap razzle-dazzle of a Mexican circusfeatures jugglers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, and a bearded lady performing among and atop the parks chess tables. Afterwards, join in a parade to the Brooklyn Bridge, with beats provided bywhat else?a Spanish punk-rock marching band. The wackiness is all part of Celebrate Mexico Now 2008.
