Anyone who remembers how exciting it was when Bette Midler ran the nightlife circuit, entrancing the men in towels at the Continental Baths and then reigning at Downstairs at the Upstairs, or when Ellen Greene and Judith Cohen wowed the Reno Sweeney crowd, or when Barbra Streisand made the Bon Soir ringsiders sit up and take notice, will want to race to see this relative newcomer. She'll sing songs from 80 years ago along with tunes from the White Stripes. Awesome, indeed.
