Toronto noise experimentalists DD/MM/YYYY might be the only band in the angular-haircut circuit these days to blend their art rock with math. But they're in good company, 'cause Devo did, too. With spastic overlayed vocals and droning prog guitarwork, tracks such as "Digital Haircut" and "Infinity Skull" from their recent 12-inch release Black Square sound like Stephen Malkmus and Stephen Hawking playing Freaky Friday.
