DEATH BECOMES HER
A member of the Obie-winning playwrights collective 13P and resident of the New Dramatists, 37-year-old playwright Sheila Callaghan is not one to shy away from a challenge or from the for mature audiences only labelshes riffed on James Joyces Ulysses in Dead City, followed ex-stripper assassins of pro-lifers in That Pretty, Pretty; or the Rape Play, and created a talking apartment for Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake). Her latest, Roadkill Confidential, which is described as a noir-ish meditation on brutality, concerns an artist who is suspiciously fascinated by accident victims and the possibly rogue FBI man on her trail. Kip Fagan directs this Clubbed Thumb production.
