DEATH BECOMES HER
Dying is an art like anything else. Does Esther Greenwood do it especially well? In Edward Anthonys play, Greenwood, the heroine of Plaths semi-autobiographical novel The Bell Jar, invites the audience to her suicide. In the course of the play she cooks lasagna, satirizes her poet husband, and prepares for a date with a gas oven.
