DEEPER THAN RAP
With their "History of Hip-Hop" series, the Rub mixed together the hottest rap songs of each year from 1979 to 2009 and blended three decades of lost gems and unforgettable classics. Meanwhile, at their monthly parties, the guys spin the best of the best plus new tracks like Tyga's "Rack City" (it goes without saying) and Lil Chuckee’s “Wop” (Google it). After nine years at the recently closed Southpaw, those parties moved to the Bell House with a March housewarming blowout, but tonight marks the beginning of the trio's official residency at the new venue. Expect six hours of jams, plenty of dancing, and a guest set from DJ mOma, who rocked this past December’s New Year’s Eve party.
