Dir. Amos Gitai (2007). The highlight of BAM's Juliette Binoche series, this is one of Israeli director Gitai's most impressive works. It features a virtuoso performance by Binoche as an ethnically-conflicted French woman of Israeli origin who has decided to end her loveless marriage and return to Israel to find the daughter she abandoned at birth, now living in a settlement being forcibly evicted. Strong stuff.
