These days, as Dopplereffekt, he continues banging out sophisticated minimal electro with real or imagined collaborators. Fellow Midwesterner Solvent brings an Aphex Twin-ly love of synths to Ghostly International. And duck-obsessed Sebastien Reidl cofounded Areal; as Basteroid he concocts the Cologne label’s quirkiest and more acidic tracks.
