This week, singer/songwriter/producer/critical darling Terius Nash comes to S.O.B.’s for two shows: Tonight, he performs as The-Dream, the stage name under which he released the trilogy of albums that began with the pop masterpiece Love Hate, culminated with the song suites on the more experimental Love vs. Money, and concluded with 2009’s Love King. Monday night, however, he returns under his birth name for a private, Illuminati-only gig, presumably playing songs from the rawer, more understated mixtape, 1977, which he released last year. Those interested in attending both can attempt to win tickets to the latter through promoters Rap Radar and Noizy Cricket, but expect tonight’s affair to include more dancing, bouncier beats, and cleverer lyrics, regardless of who can get in the door.
Sat., March 10, 8 p.m.; Sun., March 11, 8 p.m., 2012
