For an alternative to the Matzo Ball, the annual Christmas Eve diversion for the Jews, Dudu Aharon is the Israeli Josh Groban, and he'll be bringing his peace-loving Jewish pop to Town Hall, with honeyed Hebrew vocals that range from loving his father and mother to finding his Beshert. Does Israeli pop perhaps have a sunnier disposition than one might expect? Of course, and it's all the more reason to channel Aharon's escapist idealism and seek refuge from the winter doldrums when everyone knows that the only other solace resides in Chinese food, which is never a good idea two nights in a row.
