EAT MY SHORTS
Popcorn with fancied-up truffle butter instead of Yellow No. 5 coloring. A tall Brooklyn Lager instead of a large soda. Yeah, Nitehawk knows what we like over in the hippest borough. So we trust that the inaugural Nitehawk Cinema Shorts Festival to be an equally accurate representation of the culture. The weekend-long series highlights New York and specifically Brooklyn-based experimental filmmakers. Today’s brunchtime screenings are a collection of films made between 2011 and 2013, while things get psychedelic at midnight with rarely seen music videos, comedy clips, and far-out animation. The hyper-condensed collection of five-second films is not to be missed. The winner will receive 20 hours
of color grading from sponsor Nice Shoes.
