Anyone who worried that Eric Bachmann's post-Archers of Loaf career was too downcast can now take cold comfort in the fact that the times have caught up with him. Now a decade into his Crooked Fingers career, he/they are overdue for a new album and his own solo record is two years old now, so figure that this solo tour is at least some way to reconnect with fans. And though his music often sounds like he needs a hug, he also sounds like he's ready to give one back to you, which is always nice. With Sharon Van Etten.
