Exodus were just as important to the invention of thrash metal as Metallica and Slayer. In fact, Metallica even stole Exodus's guitarist, Kirk Hammett, in 1983. The band's early headbangers, captured on their classic 1985 album, Bonded by Blood, were some of the most ramshackle, breakneck anthems to violence that thrash has ever known. Now, 25 years later, they're still releasing sweaty speed-metal anthems, and their legacy is even more apparent on this tour. One of the openers, a thrash group that formed only five years ago, go by the name Bonded by Blood. With death-metal stalwarts Malevolent Creation and old-school traditionalists Holy Grail.
