Few bands working today match Factory Floor's ability to turn repetition into revelation. Though their name evokes spitting machinery and an industrial haze, the London trio of Nik Void, Dominic Butler, and Gabriel Gurnsey imbue lashing arpeggiated structures with a special kind of intimacy, at once menacing and needy. Their self-titled debut album, released earlier in 2013 on DFA, is one of the year's best: Don't miss an exceedingly rare chance to see the trio in New York.
