Think old-fashioned courtship is over? Not if the party people behind Dances of Vice have a say in it. Their La Vie Parisienne:
Bal Masqué de la St.-Valentin is an evening of parlor games, live jazz, and a masked ball accompanied by a vintage lingerie show and artfully underdressed ladies with names like “The Neo-baroque Sensual Sophisticates” and “Hazel Honeysuckle: The Delicate Flower of Burlesque.” Single and unabashed? Solo guests are encouraged to wear a pink rose to identify themselves and can participate in matchmaking games throughout the evening. All guests are required to wear masks between 9 and 10:30 when a cinematically romantic “reveal” will take place. Ooh la la! Dinner at 7, masquerade begins at 9.
