It seems lately everyone has a fashion blog, a fashion “brand,” and their own YouTube red-carpet channel. But how can someone actually make a living from it? State of Style Summit, presented by, kicks off Fashion Week with a gathering that brings industry leaders and tastemakers together to discuss the relationship between style and design, consumer purchase behavior, and trends in the digital age. More than 30 speakers are featured at this inaugural fashion event, including Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, co-founder and CMO of Gilt Groupe; Lauren Bush, co-founder and CEO of FEED; and Simone Bridges Oliver, fashion editor of The New York Times.
