Choreographer Richard Move takes the ladies of his MoveOpolis! company out on the town in Hostile Takeover, a set of six dance installations performed throughout lower Manhattan. Exploring the power of beauty, the all-female performances (including one inside the window of Hermès at 12:30 p.m.) are intended to serve as a potent dose of strong feminine energy, as Move describes it, in the high-stakes, male-dominated world of Wall Street. Tonight at 6 p.m., catch Hesperornis Regalis (Seabird), a butoh-style dance about an extinct aquatic bird that comes back to life, performed by an elaborately costumed Celeste Hastings against the backdrop of the East River at Pier 17 and Olafur Eliassons Waterfalls. At 6, check for full schedule and locations, North Atrium Balcony, third floor of South Street Seaport, Pier 17 Mall
Mon., Aug. 18, 6 p.m., 2008
