Former Arcade Fire adjunct Owen Pallett spent much of 2009 doing fine string-arrangement work for the high-profile likes of Pet Shop Boys and Mika; this year, he's dedicating his energy to Heartland, his latest set of arty orchestral-pop tunes. Its two predecessors were issued under the name Final Fantasy but, as a preemptive strike against sure-thing legal action, Pallett's releasing this one as himself.
