Fishing for Wives
Set in 1913 on Hawaii’s big island, Edward Sakamoto’s play concerns two fishermen. Their catch: A Japanese picture bride who isn’t entirely sure which one she’s supposed to marry. For Pan-Asian Repertory Theatre, Ron Nakahara directs this sea-born comedy of friendship, romance, and mistaken identity.
