Henrik Ibsens Hedda Gabler famously ends with the line, People dont do such things! But among the things people will do: continue to adapt and update the drama. Exigent Theatre premieres Alexander Burnss version in which Hedda is Henri, the 19th-century spawn of a U.S. president and an early advocate of gay marriage.
