Fortunately, the Bleecker hub has chosen to focus on the godlier part of the New Orleans festival, the incredible jazz that spills into the streets all day and night, which headliner Big Sams Funky Nation represent with gusto. Bandleader and trombonist Big Sam Williams, formerly of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, deliver kinetic, brassy jazz with a spike of modern rock. Youve seen them on Treme, but that volume only goes so high; that wont be a problem tonight. With Eric Krasno & Chapter 2.
