Apes & Androids have been whipping up word-of-mouth buzz for their live shows, which at one time or another have included dancing cheerleaders, dancing zombies, a dancing Korean drumming troupe from NYU, laser lights, and a pair of unsettlingly tight gold lamé pants. The glammy Brooklyn quintet, who take their cosmetological cues from Ziggy Stardust and their operatic falsettos from Queen, just released their long-awaited debut LP Blood Moon, a glittery affair full of 80s sci-fi synth-rock that somehow manages to be just as impressive as their stage theatrics. Arrive early for this free, undoubtedly packed, interstellar jammy-jam, which also features DJ sets from Devlin & Darko, and Armani XXXChange of foul-mouthed Philly boys Spank Rockand get ready to dance, dance, dance!
